🔍 About the Role:
As a Weekend Caretaker, you will play a key frontline role in maintaining the borough’s housing estates. You’ll work independently or as part of a small team to ensure communal areas are kept clean, safe, and functional for all residents.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Cleaning and tidying shared spaces across estates
- Performing regular site inspections and identifying maintenance needs
- Reporting hazards and resolving basic safety issues
- Ensuring health and safety regulations are met
- Using technology (e.g., mobile apps) to log inspections and record tasks
- Providing friendly, respectful support to residents
Each estate is unique—your duties will be tailored to the needs of the site you’re assigned.
✅ What We’re Looking For:
No formal qualifications are needed, but we’re seeking individuals who are:
- Physically fit and comfortable performing manual tasks (lifting, bending, moving items)
- Self-motivated and able to manage tasks independently
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Friendly and approachable with excellent communication skills
- Comfortable using mobile devices for record-keeping and communication
- Able to work as part of a supportive team and escalate issues when needed
