Job Overview
We are looking for a reliable and experienced Coffee Shop Assistant to join our busy café team. This role involves preparing drinks, serving customers, and supporting daily café operations while maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and specialty drinks to standard
- Take customer orders and process payments using POS systems
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a friendly atmosphere
- Assist with food preparation and safe food handling
- Restock supplies including cups, milk, and food items
- Keep work areas, seating, and equipment clean and organised
- Follow food hygiene and health & safety standards
- Support opening and closing duties when required
Requirements
- Previous experience in a busy coffee shop or café
- Experience in food preparation and handling
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible
- Weekend and weekday availability required
Desirable (Not Essential)
- Barista training or coffee knowledge
- Food Hygiene Certificate
