Job Overview
We are looking for a compassionate and dependable Home Care Assistant to support individuals with their daily living activities in a care home or private residence. In this role, you will provide personalised care that promotes the comfort, dignity, and wellbeing of clients. Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
- Support medication management according to individual care plans
- Help organise activities that promote mental and physical wellbeing
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in clients’ conditions
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Assist with light household tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Transport clients to appointments or social activities when required
- Follow health and safety procedures to ensure a safe environment for everyone
Requirements
- Previous experience in home care or a care home is preferred but not essential (training provided)
- A valid driving licence is an advantage
- Good spoken and written English communication skills
- Basic IT skills for maintaining records and updating care plans
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to care
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
