Pay: £9.00 – £11.00 per hour
Hours: 20–30 hours per week (including weekends)
We are looking for a friendly and reliable Coffee Shop Assistant to join our busy café team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about customer service and interested in developing skills in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold drinks, including coffee, tea, and specialty beverages
- Assist with food preparation and presentation in line with hygiene and safety standards
- Provide excellent customer service at the counter and during table service
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, equipment, and dining spaces
- Handle cash transactions and operate the till accurately
- Restock products and supplies to ensure smooth daily operations
- Offer menu recommendations and promote special items
- Support catering services and event setups when required
Requirements:
- Previous experience in hospitality, catering, or customer service preferred
- Barista experience is highly desirable
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
- Strong communication skills and a friendly attitude
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Flexible availability, including weekends
- Willingness to learn and work as part of a team
