About the Role
We are looking for a friendly and proactive Retail Assistant to join our sales floor team. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering excellent customer service, maintaining an organised and visually appealing store, and supporting sales activities. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on retail experience and develop valuable communication and merchandising skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome customers and assist with their shopping needs
- Maintain attractive and organised product displays on the sales floor
- Provide clear product information, including features and benefits
- Upsell products and promote current offers to maximise sales
- Operate the cash register accurately and efficiently
- Restock shelves and manage inventory levels
- Handle customer enquiries in person and over the phone professionally
- Assist with stock counts, inventory checks, and merchandising tasks
- Ensure the store remains clean, safe, and welcoming at all times
Requirements
- Previous retail or customer service experience is an advantage (training provided)
- Strong communication skills in English; additional languages (e.g. Spanish) are a plus
- Basic numeracy skills for handling transactions and stock
- Good organisational and time-management abilities
- Professional attitude with excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Experience in upselling or sales is desirable
