We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Laundry Assistant to join our team in a residential care home setting. This role plays a key part in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and service, ensuring all linen and textiles are cleaned, prepared, and ready for use.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, sort, and operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently
- Fold, iron, and prepare linen for distribution across the care home
- Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of laundry areas and equipment
- Monitor laundry supply inventory and notify management when restocking is needed
- Assist in transporting clean linen to designated areas
- Follow all hygiene, COSHH, and infection control guidelines
Skills & Experience:
- Experience in a care home, hospitality, or similar environment is desirable
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to high standards
- Physical stamina to handle lifting and repetitive tasks
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Positive attitude and reliability
