We are looking for a dependable and hardworking Cleaner to join our team in a school environment. This role plays a key part in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming space for staff and students. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general cleaning tasks such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming
- Clean and sanitise restrooms, kitchens, and shared areas
- Safely dispose of waste in line with health and safety regulations
- Use and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies properly
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards promptly
- Follow cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure high standards are maintained
- Interact professionally with staff and others on-site
Working Hours
- Term time: 3:30 PM – 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday
- Additional deep cleaning during school holidays (times and dates agreed in advance)
Requirements
- Previous cleaning experience is helpful but not required
- DBS check preferred
- Strong attention to detail
- Good time management and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Physically capable of handling manual tasks
- Basic knowledge of health and safety practices is an advantage
