About the Role
Polaris, a commercial cleaning company based in Altrincham, Cheshire, is seeking a reliable and hardworking School Cleaner to join our team. This role involves maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards at a school in the Chester area.
Key Responsibilities
- Vacuuming carpeted areas
- Sweeping and mopping hard floors
- Emptying and cleaning bins
- Cleaning classrooms, offices, toilets, and communal areas
- Wiping down desks, chairs, doors, and skirting boards
- Cleaning windows and surfaces
- Replenishing toiletries in washrooms
- Spot cleaning spills and accidents as needed
- Monitoring cleaning supply levels
- Reporting any hazards or maintenance issues to the supervisor
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of cleaning experience (required)
- Enhanced DBS certificate (preferred) or willingness to obtain one
- Strong attention to detail and reliability
Additional Information
- Paid every 4 weeks
- Option for pro-rata pay across 52 weeks (ensuring consistent income during school holidays)
- Full support provided for DBS application if needed
