Overview
We are looking for a reliable and professional School Bus Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and vulnerable adults. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong driving skills who values safety, care, and responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport SEN children and vulnerable adults in accordance with all road safety laws and company policies
- Conduct pre- and post-journey vehicle inspections, reporting any faults or maintenance issues promptly
- Maintain accurate transport records and communicate effectively with the operations team regarding schedules or delays
- Ensure the vehicle is clean, safe, and well-maintained at all times
- Provide support with basic administrative or office tasks when required
Requirements
- Valid PSV licence or Newark and Sherwood Badge
- Full UK driving licence with a clean driving record
- Previous professional driving experience preferred
- Basic mechanical knowledge to carry out vehicle checks and identify minor issues
- Ability to assist passengers and handle light physical tasks
- Strong sense of responsibility, punctuality, and professionalism
