Job Overview
We are looking for a caring, reliable, and compassionate Night Care Assistant to support residents in a care home setting during overnight hours. You will play an important role in ensuring residents remain safe, comfortable, and well cared for throughout the night.

Key Responsibilities
- Monitor residents throughout the night and respond promptly to their needs or emergencies
- Provide personal care support, including assistance with hygiene, toileting, and mobility, in line with individual care plans
- Carry out regular checks to ensure the safety, security, and wellbeing of all residents
- Maintain accurate and timely records of care provided, observations, and any incidents
- Support residents’ emotional wellbeing and comfort during night hours
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, residents, and families regarding care needs and updates
- Follow all health, safety, and infection control procedures at all times
- Use electronic care systems to record and update resident information accurately
Requirements
- Previous experience in a care home or domiciliary care setting is desirable but not essential
- Strong communication skills in spoken and written English
- Basic IT skills for updating digital care records
- Ability to work independently and responsibly during night shifts
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to caring for others
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards of care
- A driving licence is an advantage but not mandatory
