About the Role
We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and reliable Nursery Assistant to support our team during the summer holiday period. This temporary role will involve helping to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children throughout July and August.
Weekly rotas will be provided, and flexibility is essential, as you may occasionally be asked to cover staff absences at short notice.
Working Hours
Our nursery operates from 8:00am to 6:00pm, and applicants must be available to work within these hours as required.
Please ensure you can travel reliably to our location each day, as the nursery is not situated on a direct bus route.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the care and supervision of children within the nursery.
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment.
- Promote high standards of cleanliness and organisation throughout the nursery rooms.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver excellent childcare.
- Engage positively with children through play, learning, and daily activities.
- Follow nursery policies and procedures at all times.
About You
The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience working with or caring for children, either professionally or personally.
- Be kind, caring, and enthusiastic, with a good sense of fun.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and strong communication skills.
- Be well-presented and professional.
- Work effectively as part of a team and support colleagues proactively.
- Be dependable, punctual, and have a strong attendance record.
- Hold the right to work in the United Kingdom.
