About the Role
Sanctuary Students is looking for an experienced Maintenance Caretaker to join our team and support the smooth running of our student accommodation sites across Liverpool. You will help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for students by carrying out general maintenance tasks, inspections, repairs, and site support duties.
The role will mainly be based in Liverpool, with occasional travel required to our Ormskirk accommodation site approximately twice a month when scheduled.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to maintenance requests and complete general repairs across the accommodation sites.
- Identify faults and report issues requiring specialist support.
- Carry out regular building inspections, safety checks, and audits to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Complete routine maintenance tasks and provide accurate updates on completed work.
- Maintain appropriate stock levels and order replacement supplies when required.
- Ensure waste is managed correctly and that communal areas remain clean and well maintained.
- Support a safe, secure, and comfortable living environment for students.
Skills and Experience Required
- Previous experience in a caretaking, maintenance, cleaning, or similar role.
- Practical ability to identify and complete basic repairs.
- Understanding of health and safety procedures.
- Good communication skills with the ability to provide excellent customer service.
- Ability to follow written instructions, maintain basic records, prioritise tasks, and organise workload effectively.
- Flexible approach and ability to work across multiple sites when required.
