About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our kitchen team. In this role, you will help maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen while supporting chefs and other kitchen staff with daily operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitise kitchen worktops, walls, stoves, ovens, grills, sinks, and other food preparation areas.
- Carry out a thorough clean of the kitchen at the end of each shift.
- Wash dishes, cutlery, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils using sinks or commercial dishwashers.
- Keep freezers, refrigerators, and food storage areas clean and organised.
- Receive deliveries and store food and kitchen supplies correctly.
- Dispose of kitchen waste safely and maintain clean waste disposal areas.
- Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, including cookers, mixers, and preparation tools.
- Assist chefs with basic food preparation, including washing, peeling, and chopping ingredients.
- Provide general support to chefs and other kitchen staff during busy service periods.
- Follow all food hygiene, health, and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Previous kitchen or hospitality experience is beneficial but not essential.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to perform physically active tasks.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
