About the Role
We are looking for a caring, reliable, and compassionate Care Assistant to join our home care team in Tower Hamlets.
You will provide personalised support to clients in their own homes, helping them maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a genuine passion for helping others.
Previous care experience is preferred but not essential, as paid training will be provided to the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Support clients with daily personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
- Encourage independence and maintain clients’ dignity and privacy
- Support clients with medication in accordance with their care plans
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding where required
- Follow individual care plans and respond to clients’ changing needs
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate records of care, progress, and incidents
- Use digital systems and IT tools to update records and communicate with colleagues
- Follow health, safety, and care procedures at all times
Requirements
- Previous home care or care home experience is desirable but not essential
- A valid driving licence is an advantage for roles involving home visits
- Good spoken and written English
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow care plans accurately
- Basic IT and digital record-keeping skills
- Caring, respectful, and patient approach
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Right to work in the United Kingdom
