About the Role
We are looking for reliable and hardworking Cleaning Staff to join a school in Enfield.
You will help maintain a clean, hygienic and safe environment for pupils, staff and visitors. This is a hands-on role that can suit someone looking for flexible daytime working hours.
The split-shift schedule may be particularly suitable for people who have other commitments, such as school runs, studies or another job.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitise classrooms, corridors and communal areas.
- Clean toilets and other school facilities.
- Empty bins and replenish supplies such as soap and paper towels.
- Report maintenance problems, damage and health and safety concerns.
- Follow COSHH requirements when handling cleaning chemicals.
- Use cleaning equipment safely and correctly.
- Follow instructions from the on-site cleaning supervisor.
- Adapt to changing daily cleaning priorities.
- Maintain a professional and respectful attitude while working around children.
About You
The ideal candidate will be:
- Reliable and punctual.
- Hardworking and responsible.
- Comfortable working independently or as part of a small team.
- Able to work in a school environment.
- Physically able to stand, bend and lift as required.
- Previous cleaning experience is preferred but not essential as guidance will be provided.
DBS Requirement
Because this role is based in a school, a satisfactory DBS check will be required. Support with the DBS process may be available if you do not already have one.
