The Opportunity
We’re looking for a reliable and energetic Warehouse Operative to join our busy logistics team in Birmingham.
You’ll play an important role in keeping warehouse operations running smoothly — from picking and packing orders to receiving deliveries, managing stock, and supporting safe loading and unloading.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in accuracy, safety, and teamwork.
What You’ll Do
- Pick, pack, and organise products accurately according to customer orders
- Load and unload deliveries safely and efficiently
- Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment in accordance with safety procedures
- Maintain accurate stock records using warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Check incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy
- Carry out quality checks before products are stored or dispatched
- Assist with stock replenishment and general warehouse duties
- Safely handle heavy items when required
- Support basic equipment troubleshooting and maintenance where appropriate
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous warehouse or materials-handling experience
- Good knowledge of stock control and warehouse procedures
- A valid forklift certificate, or willingness to obtain one
- Experience with WMS or inventory management software
- The ability to safely carry out manual handling and heavy lifting
- Understanding of shipping, receiving, and quality-control procedures
- Good attention to detail and organisational skills
- A practical and safety-conscious approach
- Basic mechanical knowledge is an advantage
- A positive attitude and ability to work effectively as part of a team
