Imperial College London’s Early Years Education Centre (EYEC) is seeking a Domestic Support Worker to maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness across our outstanding-rated childcare facility. 👩🍳 About the Role
As a Domestic Support Worker, your primary responsibility is to ensure that the indoor and outdoor areas of the EYEC are clean, safe, and hygienic for children, parents, and staff.
Your Duties Will Include:
- Daily general cleaning across the Centre’s facilities
- Deep cleaning as scheduled
- Reporting any health & safety concerns
- Maintaining cleanliness of floors, surfaces, bathrooms, and communal areas
- Safe handling and storage of cleaning chemicals (COSHH compliance)
This is a part-time, early morning role — ideal for candidates looking for flexible hours while making a real difference.
✅ Key Requirements
We’re looking for a reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented individual who:
- Has previous experience in domestic or cleaning roles
- Understands COSHH and safe chemical use
- Demonstrates excellent hygiene practices
- Can work independently and as part of a team
- Communicates effectively in English
- Understands the importance of safeguarding children
- Is physically fit and able to carry out all cleaning tasks
- Can comply with the EYEC’s dress code and maintain a tidy appearance
- Maintains confidentiality, honesty, and discretion
Training will be provided as needed, and you must be willing to undertake an Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.
