🌟 About the Role
Pinewood School, a leading independent preparatory school in Wiltshire, is seeking an enthusiastic, professional, and highly motivated Swimming Teacher to join our friendly and dedicated Sports Department.
The successful candidate will play a key role in providing high-quality swimming instruction to pupils aged 3–13 years, helping them develop confidence, skills, and a lifelong love for swimming. Working under the guidance of the Director of Sport, you will plan, deliver, and assess swimming lessons tailored to all abilities — from beginners to advanced swimmers.
🏫 Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and safe swimming lessons for children aged 3–13.
- Support the Director of Sport in planning and implementing swimming programs.
- Maintain high standards of pupil safety and wellbeing at all times.
- Provide regular feedback on pupil progress.
- Contribute to the positive and supportive culture within the Sports Department.
🎓 Requirements:
- Recognised swimming teaching qualification (e.g., STA, ASA, or equivalent).
- Experience teaching swimming to children across various age groups and abilities.
- Strong communication and motivational skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
