About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Laundry Assistant to join our hospitality team. The role involves ensuring all laundry operations are completed efficiently and to the highest standards, maintaining a clean and organised environment. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a professional setting where service quality and organisation are valued. Prior hotel or hospitality experience is desirable but not essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, sort, and process laundry items, including bed linen, towels, and guest clothing
- Operate laundry machinery (washers, dryers, ironing equipment) safely and efficiently
- Ensure laundry is cleaned, pressed, folded, and stored according to hotel standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the laundry area, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Keep accurate records of laundry loads, supplies, and report any shortages or damages
- Assist other housekeeping staff as needed to support smooth operations
- Participate in inventory management of linen and supplies
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality or hotel laundry preferred
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and handle laundry loads
- Flexible with working various shifts, including mornings or evenings if needed
- Positive attitude with a commitment to high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
