We are currently recruiting Full-Time Domestic Assistants to join our team at Lecale Lodge Care Home.

The Role
As a Domestic Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors. Your work will support the smooth operation of the care home while ensuring minimal disruption to residents’ daily routines.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and tidiness throughout the care home and laundry areas
- Carry out cleaning duties safely, following moving and handling and risk assessment procedures
- Use cleaning products correctly, with particular attention to COSHH-regulated substances
- Apply appropriate cleaning methods for different surfaces and equipment
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and colleagues, maintaining positive working relationships
- Follow Health & Safety and fire safety legislation to ensure a safe environment
- Ensure cleaning supplies are stored safely and securely
- Report faulty equipment and maintenance or replacement requirements
General Duties
- Participate in induction and ongoing training programmes
- Attend staff meetings when required
- Adhere to all Health & Safety policies and procedures
- Maintain strict client confidentiality
- Be aware of fire safety policies and food hygiene regulations
- Follow all current organisational policies and procedures
Essential Criteria
- Basic knowledge of COSHH
- Understanding of Health & Safety principles
- Awareness of infection prevention and control
Desirable Criteria
- Previous experience in a similar role (desirable but not essential)
