About the Role
We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented School Cleaner to support the cleanliness and hygiene of a school in Chard. This role is vital in ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.
You will be responsible for cleaning classrooms, corridors, toilets, and shared spaces, maintaining high standards in line with school policies, health and safety regulations, and hygiene requirements.
This position is well suited to individuals with previous cleaning experience or those seeking reliable, ongoing work within an educational setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain classrooms, hallways, toilets, and communal areas
- Ensure all cleaning duties are completed to a high standard
- Follow health and safety procedures and school hygiene guidelines
- Use cleaning equipment and materials safely and effectively
- Work independently while managing time efficiently
About You
- Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential
- Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering high standards
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures
- Comfortable working in a school environment around children
