Pay: From £12.21 per hour
Hours: Approx. 12.21 hours per week – Monday to Friday mornings and afternoons, plus every other Sunday
About the Role:
We are seeking a reliable, caring, and experienced Child Personal Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a 15-year-old female with complex needs. This role involves working both at home and in the community, supporting daily routines, personal care, and overall wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with personal care, including showering, hygiene, hair washing, and dressing/undressing
- Support mealtimes and supervise as needed
- Assist during hydrotherapy/hydro pool sessions
- Provide calm, patient, and respectful care at all times
- Follow care plans and maintain a safe environment
- Communicate effectively with family and other professionals
Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday: Morning 7:00am – 8:30am, Afternoon 2:30pm – 4:30pm
- Every other Sunday: 9:30am – 1:30pm
Requirements:
- Experience supporting individuals with complex needs
- Comfortable providing personal care to a young person
- Patient, compassionate, and trustworthy
- Reliable and punctual
- Enhanced DBS check (paid by employer)
- Female support worker preferred due to personal care requirements
Desirable:
- Previous experience working with children or young people with additional needs
- Knowledge of hydrotherapy support
- Relevant care qualifications (or willingness to work towards them)
