Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team in Harrow. This role involves providing practical and emotional support to young adults and young people to help them develop independence and improve their quality of life. You will play a vital role in supporting vulnerable service users in a safe, respectful, and empowering way.
Key Responsibilities
- Support young adults in developing independent living skills
- Assist service users with attending healthcare and professional appointments
- Help with grocery shopping and meal preparation
- Manage and respond appropriately to challenging behaviour
- Support with domestic tasks such as cleaning and laundry
- Provide emotional support and encouragement
- Maintain clear communication with colleagues and external professionals
Requirements & Qualifications
- Level 3 qualification or above in working with children and young people
- Team Teach or equivalent challenging behaviour training
- Experience working with individuals up to the age of 16
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with service users and external agencies
- Competent in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Compassionate, patient, and committed to supporting vulnerable individuals
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with Ofsted inspections is desirable
- A valid UK driving licence is desirable
