A warm and welcoming family based in Muswell Hill is seeking a caring, experienced, and enthusiastic full-time nanny to support the development of their 2-year-old son. The family is looking for someone passionate about early childhood development and play-based learning.

The Role

The nanny will provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment while supporting the child’s emotional, social, and developmental growth through age-appropriate activities and routines.

Key Responsibilities

Childcare & Daily Care

  • Provide full-time care for a toddler
  • Support diapering, dressing, and potty training
  • Prepare healthy snacks and meals
  • Maintain clean and organised play areas
  • Ensure the child’s safety and wellbeing at all times
  • Read stories, sing songs, and engage in interactive play
  • Take the child on outings to parks, playgroups, and other child-friendly activities (weather permitting)

Developmental Support

  • Gross Motor Skills: Encourage active indoor and outdoor play, including running, climbing, ball games, and park visits
  • Fine Motor Skills: Plan activities such as puzzles, building blocks, drawing, and arts & crafts
  • Language Development: Promote speech through conversation, songs, reading, and introducing new vocabulary
  • Cognitive Development: Provide age-appropriate toys and activities that encourage problem-solving and creativity
  • Social & Emotional Development: Foster a supportive environment that helps the child express emotions, learn sharing, turn-taking, and positive social interaction

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with toddlers
  • NVQ Level 2 in Childcare preferred
  • Valid Infant/Child First Aid and CPR certification
  • DBS check completed within the last year or registered on the Update Service
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to provide regular updates to parents
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to consistent care
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, and genuinely passionate about childcare
  • Excellent references from previous families
