About the Role
We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable Kitchen Assistants to support school catering services across Neath Port Talbot. You will help ensure a smooth and efficient lunchtime service while maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and service of meals for pupils
- Wash up and clean kitchen utensils, equipment, and work areas
- Set up and clear tables and dining areas
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and surrounding areas
- Work as part of a team to meet agreed schedules
- Comply with all Food Safety and Health & Safety regulations
Requirements
- No formal qualifications required
- Willingness to complete basic food hygiene training and other relevant courses
- Ability to work to a high standard in a busy team environment
- Reliable, professional, and committed to maintaining hygiene standards
Safeguarding & Compliance
- This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS (Children’s) check
- A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people is essential
