Job Overview
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking School Cleaner to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. This role is ideal for someone with previous cleaning experience who takes pride in high standards of hygiene and presentation. You will work independently while following health and safety procedures to ensure the school remains a healthy learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitise classrooms, corridors, toilets, cafeterias, and shared areas
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and carry out general floor care
- Empty bins and dispose of waste correctly
- Replenish supplies such as toilet paper, soap, and paper towels
- Follow all health, safety, and cleaning regulations
- Support deep cleaning tasks during school holidays or after hours when required
Requirements
- Previous cleaning experience, ideally in a school or commercial setting
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques and safe use of cleaning products
- Ability to use cleaning equipment such as vacuums and floor buffers
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good time management skills
- Facilities or porter experience is an advantage but not essential
