About the Role:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Workers to provide high-quality support to individuals in assisted living, nursing homes, and home care settings. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support
- Provide care for individuals with Alzheimer’s, dementia, or other cognitive impairments
- Support clients with medication administration following prescribed protocols
- Prepare nutritious meals based on dietary requirements
- Engage clients in activities to promote mental and emotional well-being
- Use compassionate approaches and behaviour management techniques to handle challenging situations
- Perform light housekeeping to maintain a safe, clean environment
- Support families and loved ones through effective communication and emotional support
- Drive clients to appointments or outings safely
- Maintain accurate records of care and report any changes or concerns promptly
Requirements & Skills:
- Experience in assisted living, nursing home care, or home care
- Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer’s, hospice, and senior care practices
- Ability to perform first aid and respond to emergencies
- Strong caregiving skills with patience and compassion
- Good organisational skills for managing daily routines and medication schedules
- Ability to safely lift or assist clients as needed
- Meal preparation skills tailored to individual dietary needs
- Valid driving licence for client transportation
- Excellent communication skills
