Working Hours: 24 hours per week (6 hours/day over 4 days, including weekends)
Shift Time: 7:30 AM – 1:30 PM

About the Role
As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring high standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained across Jewish Care’s facilities. You’ll help create a pleasant and inviting environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
This role is ideal for individuals looking for housekeeping jobs in care homes, part-time cleaning jobs in London, or opportunities to work in healthcare and hospitality support services.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain high cleanliness standards throughout care homes and communal areas
- Carry out general housekeeping duties such as vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and surface sanitising
- Support with laundry tasks, including washing, ironing, folding, and distribution
- Ensure compliance with infection control and health & safety regulations
- Dispose of waste in line with waste management policies, including recycling and clinical waste
- Assist the hospitality team during Jewish festivals and events
- Report maintenance issues or hazards to supervisors promptly
- Keep accurate records of cleaning products and equipment use
What We’re Looking For
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience (ideally in care homes, healthcare, or hospitality)
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Awareness of COSHH regulations and Infection Control procedures (training provided if needed)
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment
- Understanding and empathy when working with vulnerable individuals and the elderly
