🔧 Job Purpose

As a Cleaning Operative, you will ensure all internal and external areas are kept clean, tidy, and safe. You will be working independently, with full training and support provided.

🗂️ Key Responsibilities

Perform general cleaning duties as trained and instructed
Work independently while maintaining high cleaning standards
Clean communal areas, including vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, and mopping
Operate cleaning machinery such as a ride-on sweeper, pressure washer, and leaf blower (training provided)
Ensure external areas are clean and welcoming for staff and visitors
Adhere to Health & Safety regulations at all times
Handle cleaning chemicals safely and follow all COSHH procedures
Report any maintenance or safety issues immediately
Keep accurate records and stock of cleaning supplies
Dispose of waste responsibly, ensuring it is taken to the designated area
Support the cleaning team as needed and perform internal cleaning tasks when required
Attend training sessions for ongoing development

✅ Requirements

Previous cleaning experience is preferred but not essential
Ability to follow safety and cleanliness protocols
Strong time management — punctuality is essential (fixed shift times)
Ability to work alone and take initiative
Basic understanding of H&S and COSHH guidelines

📅 Working Hours (12 hours/week)

Monday to Wednesday: 08:00 – 10:00
Thursday: 08:00 – 12:00
Friday: 08:00 – 10:00

Note: These hours are fixed and cannot be adjusted.

💰 Salary

£13.85 per hour
Annual Salary: £8,642.40 (based on 12 hours per week)
