About the Role
We are looking for a proactive, friendly, and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join our retail team in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about retail and customer service, who is eager to develop their sales skills in a fast-paced and supportive environment.
You will play a key role in delivering outstanding customer experiences while supporting the store’s daily operations and sales performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome customers warmly and assist with their shopping needs
- Provide accurate product information and tailored recommendations
- Use effective upselling techniques to maximise sales opportunities
- Process transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system
- Maintain high visual merchandising standards
- Monitor stock levels and replenish shelves as required
- Handle customer enquiries professionally, both in-store and over the phone
- Support promotional activities and store layout changes
- Assist with general store operations to ensure smooth daily running
Skills & Experience
- Fluent in English (Spanish or additional languages highly desirable)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organisational and time-management abilities
- Basic numeracy skills for transactions and stock handling
- Confident in upselling and customer engagement
- Professional telephone manner
- Ability to multitask effectively during busy periods
- Strong attention to detail and presentation standards
