About the Role
We are looking for a friendly, confident, and reliable Sales Assistant to join our team at Pem Butty Box. This part-time role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with people, providing excellent customer service, and being part of a welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and serve customers with a smile
- Prepare hot and cold food orders as requested
- Operate the till and handle payments accurately
- Restock shelves and maintain a clean shop
- Answer customer questions about products
- Assist with opening and closing the shop
- Work collaboratively within a small team
- Learn to cook and handle cash operations
Requirements
- Friendly, approachable, and confident personality
- Reliable and punctual
- Previous food shop experience preferred, but training will be provided
- Experience in food handling (minimum 3 years preferred)
- Ability to work flexible hours including Monday–Saturday, 7am–3pm
- Availability to work every other Saturday and provide cover for holidays or sickness
Hours
- Part-time: 24+ hours per week
- Typically spread over 3–4 days per week
- Set days may vary after training
