About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and motivated Laundry Assistant to join our team. You’ll be responsible for day-to-day laundrette operations, garment processing, and delivering friendly customer service. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys responsibility and working independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate commercial washing and drying equipment
- Sort, wash, dry, iron, and fold laundry
- Wet cleaning of garments (training provided if needed)
- Prepare dry cleaning items with clear labelling
- Provide professional and friendly customer service
- Liaise with drivers for collections and deliveries (optional)
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the laundrette
- Receive parcels from couriers (Evri, DPD, DHL, APC) and distribute to customers according to procedures
Requirements
- Able to work independently and manage workload
- Strong attention to detail and care for garments
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible
- Comfortable with manual handling and standing for long periods
- Previous laundrette or dry cleaning experience is desirable but not essential
