Overview
We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager to help lead operations in a hybrid fulfilment centre. In this role, you will manage a team of around 40 warehouse operatives and oversee both automated storage systems (AutoStore) and manual warehouse processes. Your goal will be to ensure smooth daily operations, high efficiency, and a strong culture of safety and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management
- Oversee daily warehouse operations including Goods Receipt, Put-away, Picking, Dispatch, and Returns.
- Ensure smooth workflow between automated storage systems and manual picking processes.
- Monitor AutoStore performance and coordinate with maintenance teams when required.
Team Leadership
- Manage and support a team of 40 cross-trained warehouse staff.
- Implement training programs to ensure staff can work across different warehouse functions.
- Set and track performance KPIs such as picking accuracy, productivity, and processing times.
- Maintain a positive working environment and ensure shop-floor discipline.
Quality & Compliance
- Maintain high inventory accuracy and investigate stock discrepancies.
- Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations and automation safety standards.
- Support compliance with ISO standards (ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001).
- Oversee returns processing and ensure efficient reintegration of products into stock.
Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years of warehouse management experience, preferably in e-commerce or automated warehouse environments.
- Experience managing teams of 30–50 staff in fast-paced operations.
- Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and automated systems such as AutoStore.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to analyse operational data to improve productivity and efficiency.
- Comfortable working with technology and supervising hands-on warehouse operations.
