Location: 103 Palmerston Road, Buckhurst Hill, Essex, IG9 5NH
Hours: 15 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 3:30pm – 6:30pm)
Contract Type: Permanent, Term-Time Only (35 weeks + inset days)
Salary: £8,515 per annum
Start Date: 20 April 2026 or as soon as possible
About the Role
Loyola Preparatory School is a welcoming and friendly school in Buckhurst Hill. We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented After-School Cleaner to join our team. You will help maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for pupils and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Vacuuming, mopping, polishing, and dusting
- Cleaning and sanitising washrooms and handwashing areas
- Emptying bins and managing waste and recycling
- Wiping and maintaining surfaces
- Carrying out general cleaning duties across the school
You will be assigned specific areas but may occasionally be asked to clean other parts of the school when required.
Additional Information
- No work required during school holidays
- Opportunity for extra hours during holiday deep cleans or staff cover
About You
- Previous cleaning experience is preferred but not essential
- Well-organised and reliable
- Flexible and able to adapt to different tasks
- Friendly, approachable, and able to work as part of a team
