Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic, customer-focused Sales Assistant to join our retail team. This role is perfect for someone passionate about delivering excellent service, engaging with diverse customers, and contributing to a vibrant retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers and provide attentive, friendly assistance
- Advise customers on products and merchandise selection
- Maintain visual merchandising standards for an attractive store display
- Promote products and special offers to maximise sales
- Process transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system
- Manage stock levels, restock shelves, and organise merchandise
- Handle customer enquiries professionally in person and by phone
- Support inventory management and maintain store cleanliness
Candidate Requirements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Multilingual abilities, particularly English and Spanish, are desirable
- Good organisational skills and time management
- Basic maths proficiency for transactions and stock counting
- Experience in upselling and meeting sales targets
- Knowledge of merchandising principles and retail best practices
- Ability to work well in a team and adapt to changing priorities
