About the Role
A loving family in Muswell Hill is seeking a caring and experienced nanny to look after their 2-year-old son. The role focuses on providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that supports early childhood development through structured play and daily routines.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide full-time care for a toddler
- Support diapering, dressing, and potty training
- Prepare healthy snacks and light meals
- Maintain a clean and organised play area
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate developmental activities
- Read, sing, and engage in interactive play
- Ensure the child’s safety and well-being at all times
- Take the child to parks, playgroups, and local outings
Development Focus
- Encourage gross motor skills through active indoor and outdoor play
- Support fine motor skills with puzzles, drawing, and building activities
- Promote language development through reading and conversation
- Encourage cognitive development through creative and problem-solving play
- Support social and emotional development, including sharing and interaction
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working with toddlers (preferred)
- NVQ Level 2 in Childcare (preferred)
- Valid Paediatric First Aid/CPR certification
- Enhanced DBS check (recent or on update service)
- Strong communication skills with regular updates to parents
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible
- Energetic and passionate about childcare
- Excellent references from previous families
