Role Overview
We are looking for a reliable, detail-focused Housekeeper to join our team. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean, organised, and welcoming environment for both guests and staff. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to high standards of hygiene and service.
Experience in housekeeping, janitorial work, hotel cleaning, or commercial cleaning is an advantage, though full training can be provided. Additional skills such as basic cooking or food preparation are welcome but not essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitise guest rooms, bathrooms, and communal areas to a high standard
- Change bed linen, make beds, and replenish guest supplies
- Keep all areas clean, tidy, and well organised
- Carry out deep cleaning tasks such as carpet care, window cleaning, and other specialised duties when required
- Assist with laundry tasks including washing, drying, folding, and ironing linen and clothing
- Prepare light refreshments and help maintain kitchen cleanliness when needed
- Respond to guest requests in a polite, helpful, and professional manner
- Ensure cleaning materials and equipment are properly maintained and safely stored
- Follow all health and safety procedures at all times
Person Specification
- Previous experience in cleaning, housekeeping, or hospitality is preferred but not essential
- Strong attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness
- Friendly and professional approach to customer service
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Physically fit and able to handle tasks involving standing, lifting, and bending
- Positive, proactive attitude toward maintaining cleanliness and guest satisfaction
