About the Role
As a Kitchen Assistant at Four Oaks Care Home, you will play an important role in supporting the catering team and ensuring residents receive safe, nutritious, and well-prepared meals.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with food preparation in line with health, safety, and food hygiene standards
- Keeping the kitchen clean, organised, and compliant with cleaning schedules
- Washing dishes, utensils, and catering equipment as required
- Supporting the chef and wider kitchen team during busy periods
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene at all times
You will report to the Home Manager, Deputy Manager, or Chef.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous kitchen or catering experience is helpful but not essential
- Basic understanding of food hygiene and safety standards
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines
