About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and motivated Cleaning Operative to join our team at a school in Barr Beacon, Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for someone seeking stable part-time afternoon work with a supportive employer.
You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the school, helping to create a safe and welcoming environment for staff, students, and visitors. Although you will work independently on site, you will receive full support and training from our experienced facilities team.
Key Responsibilities
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust designated areas.
- Clean classrooms, corridors, toilets, and washroom facilities.
- Safely operate cleaning equipment and machinery.
- Use cleaning products and chemicals in accordance with COSHH regulations.
- Maintain excellent hygiene, safety, and cleanliness standards.
- Complete all assigned tasks within the required timeframes.
- Deliver a professional and customer-focused service at all times.

Working Pattern & Annual Leave
- Term-time only position.
- Salary is paid monthly, based on 42 working weeks plus 5.6 weeks of paid annual leave.
- Annual leave must be taken during school holidays and cannot be taken during term time.
