Job Overview
We are looking for a dependable and motivated Amazon Delivery Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering parcels safely, efficiently, and on time while providing outstanding customer service. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in delivery driving, logistics, warehouse operations, or commercial transport who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate company delivery vehicles, including vans and other approved vehicles, while complying with all road traffic laws and company policies.
- Load, transport, and unload parcels with care, including handling heavier items when required.
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to maximise productivity and minimise travel time.
- Deliver packages accurately and professionally to customers.
- Collect signatures or electronic proof of delivery when necessary.
- Complete daily vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and communicate delivery updates with the dispatch team.
- Follow all health and safety procedures, ensuring safe manual handling practices and vehicle operation at all times.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar logistics role is preferred.
- A valid UK driving licence appropriate for the vehicle being driven.
- Strong route planning and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Physically fit and capable of lifting and moving parcels safely.
- Experience in warehouse or logistics environments is an advantage.
- Reliable, punctual, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
