Working Hours: 9:00am–6:00pm, 5 days per week, including weekends
About the Role
Primo Drinks, one of the UK’s largest family-owned drinks wholesalers, is looking for an experienced Van Delivery Driver to join our team in Bredbury, Stockport.
A company van will be provided, and you will be responsible for making deliveries to customers across the surrounding areas while providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out deliveries safely and efficiently using a company van
- Load, secure, transport, and unload goods
- Complete daily vehicle safety checks, including tyres and fluid levels
- Ensure the vehicle is clean, safe, and roadworthy
- Provide professional and friendly customer service
- Deal with customer queries and complaints appropriately
- Process payments where required, including cash, cheques, card, or bank transfers
- Assist with stock takes and general warehouse duties
- Follow company procedures and maintain high hygiene standards
- Ensure all goods are handled safely during loading and delivery
- Maintain a professional appearance at all times
Requirements
- A valid UK driving licence is essential
- Previous experience driving a Transit van or similar vehicle is essential
- Minimum 2 years’ driving experience
- At least 1 year of delivery driving experience
- A DBS check is required
- Good physical fitness, as the role involves heavy manual lifting
- Excellent hygiene and cleanliness standards
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Reliable, punctual, and well presented
- Ability to work weekends as part of the normal rota
