About the Role
Aramark UK is looking for a friendly and reliable Catering Assistant to join the team at Idsall School in Shifnal.
You’ll support the daily running of the school catering service by preparing and serving food and drinks, assisting students, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, and providing excellent customer service.
No previous catering experience is required, as training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare basic food items such as sandwiches, grab-and-go products, and simple hot food
- Prepare and serve drinks to order
- Serve students and provide friendly, professional customer service
- Receive, unpack, and store deliveries
- Restock food and catering supplies
- Clear tables, trays, bins, and dining areas
- Maintain cleanliness across front-of-house and kitchen areas
- Complete cleaning duties before, during, and after service
- Follow food hygiene, health, and safety procedures
- Work as part of the catering team to ensure smooth daily service
Requirements
- A Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate is desirable, but training can be provided
- Previous catering, food service, or retail experience is an advantage
- No previous experience is essential
- Good customer service and communication skills
- Reliable, positive, and organised approach
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Willingness to work in a busy school catering environment
