About the Role
Azad Food Centre is looking for a hardworking, reliable, and professional Shop Assistant to join our team in Ilford.
As a Turkish supermarket, Turkish and English language skills are highly preferred, although Turkish is not essential. We are looking for someone who is friendly, customer-focused, and able to work well as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome customers and assist them with enquiries and purchases.
- Provide friendly and professional customer service.
- Keep the shop floor clean, tidy, and well organised.
- Replenish stock and keep shelves fully stocked.
- Ensure products are displayed neatly and attractively.
- Assist with stock and inventory management.
- Work closely with colleagues to maintain smooth day-to-day shop operations.
- Help contribute towards achieving store sales targets.
Requirements
- Living locally in or around Ilford is preferred.
- Previous retail or customer service experience is an advantage.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive, hardworking, and professional attitude.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Turkish language skills are highly preferred but not essential.
- Flexibility to work night shifts where required.
