Pay: £7.55 – £12.21 per hour
Hours: 8–40 hours per week
- Coffee shop hours: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM, 7 days a week
- Weekday and weekend shifts available
About the Role
We are seeking a friendly, confident, and enthusiastic Coffee Shop Assistant to join our expanding team at The Lodge Coffee House. Our café is set in the beautiful Rossington Hall Estate, with a bus stop right outside for easy travel.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys interacting with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and brings a positive attitude to every shift. No previous experience is necessary as full training will be provided — all we ask is that you are eager to learn and love working with others.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and create a welcoming environment
- Take orders confidently and deliver excellent customer service
- Serve food and drinks efficiently, especially during busy periods
- Assist with basic food preparation and handle baked goods or light meals
- Keep the front-of-house clean, tidy, and well-presented
- Clear tables and maintain seating areas to support smooth service
- Handle payments accurately using the till / POS system
- Restock supplies and help the team stay organised during rushes
- Work collaboratively with the team to ensure a friendly, efficient service
Skills & Requirements
- Friendly, approachable, and confident personality (comfortable speaking with customers)
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
- Willingness to learn and take direction
- Ability to stay calm and helpful during busy periods
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Hospitality experience is a bonus but not essential
