Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles, including vans and lorries, to deliver goods to designated locations
- Plan delivery routes efficiently to meet schedules and deadlines
- Load and unload items, ensuring all goods are secure during transit
- Verify delivery orders against manifests and obtain signatures upon completion
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance issues promptly
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery status or delays
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations at all times
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar commercial driving/warehouse role
- Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Experience with commercial vehicles such as vans or lorries is preferred
- Familiarity with route planning and GPS navigation tools
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when required
- Strong communication skills and a professional approach to customer interactions
