About the Role
The Lead Wedding Coordinator is a contract-based position offering flexibility, with the opportunity to choose your own schedule. Training is provided to ensure you are fully prepared to represent our brand and deliver exceptional service.
In this primarily onsite role, you will take the lead in executing weddings, working closely with assistant coordinators to ensure every detail runs smoothly from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed wedding timelines tailored to each couple
- Act as the main point of contact and advocate for the couple on the wedding day
- Keep clients calm under pressure and resolve any issues efficiently
- Oversee ceremony and reception setup
- Manage full-day wedding operations from early morning preparations through end-of-night breakdown
- Welcome, brief, and coordinate all vendors
- Communicate setup requirements clearly and effectively
- Arrange décor elements including seating cards, menu cards, table numbers, favours, guest books, and other styling details
- Support the wedding party and family members throughout the event
- Ensure all end-of-event logistics are completed, including handling gifts and personal items
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a wedding planner or event planner
- Availability to work weekends (essential)
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs
