About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and approachable Daytime School Cleaner to join our team at a small and friendly school. This role takes place during school hours and involves maintaining cleanliness across the site, as well as responding to any cleaning needs throughout the day.
This is a term-time only position, meaning no work is required during school holidays or bank holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- General cleaning of classrooms and shared areas
- Maintaining cleanliness of toilets throughout the day
- Promptly cleaning spills and accidents
- Emptying bins and performing light mopping
- Ensuring a clean, safe environment for students and staff
- Responding to ad-hoc cleaning tasks as needed
About the School
This is a Special Educational Needs (SEN) school, where the environment can sometimes be busy. The ideal candidate will be:

- Comfortable working around children
- Proactive and responsive
- Reliable and professional
Previous experience in a school or similar environment is helpful but not essential.
Requirements
- Preferred: At least 2 years of cleaning experience
- Experience working with children with SEN (desirable)
- Enhanced DBS (preferred but not required)
