The role is based at Indigo, the hotel’s unique restaurant, which offers a fully gluten-free and dairy-free menu without compromising on flavour or presentation.
About the Role
We are looking for a polished and welcoming Restaurant Receptionist to create an exceptional first impression for every guest.
You will manage reservations, seating arrangements and guest enquiries while ensuring the restaurant reception area consistently reflects the high standards of a luxury dining environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests warmly and professionally.
- Manage reservations, table allocations and seating plans.
- Escort guests to their tables and provide a smooth handover to the waiting team.
- Answer telephone enquiries promptly and courteously.
- Maintain accurate reservations and guest information.
- Keep menus, wine lists and guest-facing materials clean and up to date.
- Ensure the entrance and reception areas are presented to luxury standards.
- Remain calm, organised and professional during busy service periods.
- Work closely with the restaurant team to deliver excellent guest experiences.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in a luxury hotel or fine dining restaurant.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A warm, confident and welcoming personality.
- A genuine interest in food, beverages and hospitality.
- The ability to stay organised and professional under pressure.
- Experience with restaurant reservation systems, preferably.
- A strong team-focused attitude.
- High standards of presentation and customer service.
