About the Role
A welcoming family in Upper Norwood is looking for a warm, reliable, and experienced Part-Time Nanny to care for their kind and polite 9-year-old son.
The ideal candidate will enjoy working with children, be active and playful, and be comfortable helping with cooking and light household duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect the child from school at approximately 3:45pm during term time.
- Safely drive him home and provide attentive childcare.
- Help with homework and organise fun, age-appropriate activities.
- Encourage outdoor play and sports.
- Plan enjoyable activities and outings during school holidays.
- Prepare healthy meals and dinner for the child and, usually, the whole family.
- Help with washing, folding, and organising clothes and school/PE uniforms.
- Keep the kitchen and play areas tidy.
- Support the child’s evening routine, including showering and getting ready for bed.
- Occasionally complete simple errands, such as posting letters or parcels.
- Provide a safe, positive, and caring environment.
Requirements
- Previous nannying or childcare experience.
- A full driving licence and your own vehicle are essential.
- Good English communication skills.
- Reliable, trustworthy, and responsible.
- Good understanding of child safety.
- First aid knowledge is desirable.
- Ability to provide references.
- DBS check preferred.
- Comfortable preparing family meals and helping with light housework.
- Active and enthusiastic approach to children’s activities.
