About the Role
Lion Hire Limited is looking for experienced PSV/PCV Bus Drivers to join its team in London, with immediate-start opportunities available.
This is a unique opportunity to drive a historic 1960s Routemaster bus and become part of a prestigious and exciting London bus tour operation.
The ideal candidate will have strong public-service vehicle driving experience, excellent knowledge of London, reliable timekeeping and a professional approach to customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate buses while complying with UK traffic laws and regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip vehicle safety inspections.
- Provide friendly and professional assistance to passengers.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues regarding schedules and operational issues.
- Maintain accurate mileage and incident records.
- Keep the bus clean and presentable inside and out.
- Ensure passengers receive a safe and enjoyable experience.
Requirements
- Valid PCV/PSV Category D licence required.
- Valid UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
- DQC card for PSV/PCV.
- Previous experience driving buses or coaches.
- Excellent punctuality and reliability.
- Strong communication and customer-service skills.
- Good knowledge of London.
- Flexible availability, including some evenings and weekends.
- Ability to work independently and responsibly.
Desirable Experience
- Previous Routemaster driving experience.
- An interest in historic and vintage vehicles.
- Experience in sightseeing or tour operations.
